The tweet was a part of a thread that included another announcement. The Animal Crossing Amiibo cards are to bring the villager into your Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer game, and more, giving you the ability to invite villagers to other villager’s homes, give villagers jobs and is the only way you can get a design request from special characters. If you can get your hands on a set, they are available for $5.99. You can look on Target’s website to see where the cards are in your area. The news comes a few weeks after Nintendo announced that the Animal Crossing 1 - 4 series would soon be back on the shelves at Target. Just like with prior sets, it can be assumed that the series 5 will come with five regular village cards, as well as one featuring a special character. Although the tweet did not give any additional details, such as a release date or what cards would be included, fans seemed to be awaiting a potential inclusion of cards featuring favorites - lazy lamb Sherb & smug cat Raymond.
